A page of text (about 2 screens) will use about 4 Kbytes of disk storage.
So a host with 5 Mbytes can hold over 1,000 web page - provided
that there are no graphics! A full screen image could take
200 Kbytes of storage. It is very variable as it depends on the resolution,
number of colours, and compression techniques used. Typical images
used will be less than 10 KBytes to enable them to load quickly. As
a guide, a 28.8 Kbytes/second connection will load a single 10 Kbytes
image in about 4 seconds. |
